Jan Stanbury founded Ecotek Luxury Homes, based in Miami, FL in1998 with his partner Doug Dowdy. They worked primarily on custom waterfront homes. In 2005, following the devastation of Hurricane Andrew, Mr. Stanbury began designing hurricane-resistant homes that would keep their occupants safe and sustainable during and after a massive storm.
